Risk in an Evolving World
Learn about risk management, insurance theory and practice, and its economic and social significance in today’s rapidly evolving landscape. You'll explore how the risk environment is changing, use of increasing technology in risk management, how corporate governance and social responsibility issues can impact an organization, and how the holisitic approach is used to manage both short and long term risk. Participants who achieve a grade of 80% or higher will receive a non-credit certificate of completion along with an exam waiver towards the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
This course is the first of three courses in the Associate in Risk Management non-credit certificate program.
Program Description
The Associate in Risk Management (ARM) program prepares employees to build and carry out a risk financing strategy that will uphold their organization’s financial goals. Acquire skills in risk assessment and learn how to effectively participate in risk control programs. This program is recommended for agents, brokers, risk managers, operational risk personnel, business executives, and agency principals.

Course Modality: This is an asynchronous course offered online.
This course will utilize Canvas, an online learning management system. Upon registration, please visit your student dashboard to access Canvas.

Course Time: There is not a scheduled class time for this course. After completing your registration, you will have 60 days to complete the course content. The course is entirely online and self-paced so you can complete the content at your own convenience within the 60 day time frame.

Students may withdraw from a course with a full refund up to one week prior to the course start date. There is a 50% administration fee for withdrawals from one week prior to the course start date until the day the course begins. After the course start date, refunds are no longer available.
