Customer Service
Welcome to The Customer Service Certification Course! In this course we will explore an array of topics including what customer service is and why it is important for all businesses, the customer service mindset, emotional intelligence, service breakdowns and recovery, and much more. By the end of this course, you will be able to bring out the best in service excellence for your business, build morale for your team, improve your service ratings, and ultimately improve your bottom-line profits. This course is not for credit.

Mr. Theiss has over 35 years of supervisory experience. He earned his MEd in Human Relations at NAU and his BS in Hospitality and Restaurant Administration from Missouri State University. His vast supervisory experience includes 27 years as a hotel General Manager which included opening and serving as the GM at the Drury Inn and Suites located in NAU's Flagstaff campus from 2008-2016. In addition to his hospitality career, he has taught part time at NAU from 2016-2022 and joined as full-time faculty in January of 2023. He has taught 15 different courses ranging from management, sales and marketing, finance, customer service, and more. Mr. Theiss is also part of the new NAU Mesa Workforce Development team.

Refunds
Students may withdraw from a course with a full refund up to one week prior to the course start date. There is a 50% administration fee for withdrawals from one week prior to the course start date until the day the course begins. After the course start date, refunds are no longer available.
