Indigenous Language Revitilization Summer Institute - Level 2 Workshop

 

**To enroll in the Level 2 workshop, one must have completed the Level 1 workshop in a previous year. The two workshops run concurrently and one cannot attend both in the same year.

In this 3-day workshop, Language Advocate Jennie DeGroat demonstrates how to collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and tribal leaders to develop a language curriculum derived from the knowledge, culture, and values of the community. Participants will focus on both the curriculum process and product. This is the follow-up workshop to “How to Create and Sustain Successful Indigenous Language Immersion Programs”.

This workshop is not for credit.

 

Course Modality: This course is offered in person.

 

This course does not require the use of Canvas or any online resources; all material will be delivered in person.

Course Time: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., AZ Time

 

Cost: $500

 

This workshop is non-refundable.
