2025 Animation Youth Summer Camp
Dive into the captivating world of stop-frame animation during this 5-day hands-on summer camp. Throughout the week, participants will explore storytelling and stop-frame animation techniques to create their own 30-60-second short film.
The camp begins with an introduction to animation history, basic techniques, and flipbook exercises. Over the week students will learn the art of storytelling and animation using creative materials. Guided by NAU faculty and animator Austin Frick, students will master stop-frame techniques to bring their short stories to life. During this summer camp, students will animate short films and add music and sound effects to enhance their creations. This summer camp ends with an animation showcase where campers and parents can celebrate their creative achievements.
