Full course description
2025 Exploring Video Game Design Youth Summer Camp for Rising 7th, 8th, & 9th Graders
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of storyboarding, game creation, team building, game testing, and development. Students will design and build their own games to play and share - no programming experience required. Unleash your creativity with hands-on game development and bring your imagination to life as you dive into fun, interactive software.
A certificate of completion will be presented upon completion of the camp. The camp will end with each student team showcasing their game so that family can play for themselves.
Course Modality: This camp will take place in Flagstaff, Arizona on NAU's campus. Further details to come.
Dates and Times: June 8th - June 11th, 2026; 9:00 am - 4:00 pm daily
Course Cost: $290.00

Refunds
Students may withdraw from a course with a full refund up to one week prior to the course start date. There is a 50% administration fee for withdrawals from one week prior to the course start date until the day the course begins. After the course start date, refunds are no longer available.
