John Gartin, the Director of NAU Career Development at Northern Arizona University, is a coach and educator with a rich background over three decades in leadership training, team building, program development, and career readiness. His background includes the U.S. Navy Reserves, a faculty member at 5 different colleges and universities, and as a NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 women’s rowing coach earning 6 Conference Championships and 1 NCAA Championship. He holds a Master’s in Geography researching trans-border environmental systems modeling and a Master's in Organizational Leadership where his research in the application of Generative AI in leadership, career readiness, and team development resulted in the development of the INSPIRE Methodology of Generative AI Prompt Engineering.
